In promotion of Capcom’s upcoming sci-fi adventure game, Dark Void, they have teamed up with Tesla Motors, an electric sports car company. Together they are hosting a giveaway contest that is known as “Dark Void’s Tesla Roadster Giveaway.” See what I mean about it being clever? Sarcasm aside if winning an electric sports car, which is a hell of a lot cooler than the RC car I had when I was about eight, hit the jump and see what it’s all about.

Delivering on a promise made several weeks ago, Bioware has released a character creator for Dragon Age: Origins. Also launched today, was the “Bioware Social Network” site, which allows players to upload screenshots, game data and share information with other users.
True to Bioware’s style, the character creator allows you to customize just about everything from the race of your character, to the height of your eyebrows. The character creator also allows you to upload your character to the Bioware Social Network so you can show off just how unique your “Legolas” imitator really is.

If one were to look at the reviews it would seem that this truly is the greatest game ever. Pop on over the break to check out a quote from Tim Schafer, video game mastermind, about the release and of course the off the record section. (more…)

Today EA announced that its F2P card-based RTS Battleforge is now the first title to be compatible with DirectX 11. Thanks to the recent patch players will now experience “unparalleled graphic performance and even richer visuals including DirectX 11 specific features like high definition ambient occlusion (HDAO).” However, with only a few DX 11 cards actually on the market, good luck fully utilizing all the performance enhancements that were implemented.

I’ve never been one to post about video game commercials but I feel an obligation to share Sony’s newest Uncharted 2/Playstation 3 television slot. It’s clever, it’s witty, and it really lays claim to what could possibly be the truth of gaming this year; Uncharted 2 is well on its way to being the number one game of the year.
Off the record in B&W: It’s about time Sony start marketing again. I look at this new television campaign as Sony taking a hit in humility and realizing they are no better than Microsoft or Nintendo. Both of those companies market and, as usual when one sells oneself, sells their products.

After receiving some less than stellar reviews, the persistent world third person shooter, Crimecraft from Vogster Entertainment will offer an unlimited free trial by the end of October. For those who don’t want to have any of Crimecraft’s experience kept from them there be the offer of 2 paid subscription plans, coming in at 4.99/month and 9.99/month. The exact details of the paid plans remain a mystery, but one can assume that the people who are actually shelling out cash for this game will be able to obtain better weapons, items and cash.
The game will also be subject to its first major content update and a loyalty reward program for existing members.
Off the record in B&W: As nice as all this sounds I think I’ll just wait for the All Point Bulletin beta, instead of stepping foot on sunrise city’s underpopulated, glitch infested streets.

Or maybe we really have never had any readers and all the egocentricity has clouded our vision. Either way, we’re back!
